For parents
If your child is going to play a game on a screen, it might as well be one that teaches them to think. Trickly is a small set of classic games with no ads, no accounts, no purchases and no chat.
What your child practises
- Thinking ahead: what happens after my move?
- Looking at the other player’s plans, not just their own.
- Spotting patterns: threats, forks, safe moves.
- Counting and chance, in snakes and ladders.
- Winning and losing gracefully.
How the coach works
Fig the frog never plays for your child. Hints start as questions, and only “show me” points at an answer. After a clear mistake, Fig offers a take-back before the computer replies, which is how children learn to check their own moves. If your child would rather play without help, tap “Fig is helping” to let Fig nap.
Safe by design
- No ads, accounts, chat or in-app purchases.
- No tracking cookies; settings stay on your device.
- The chess computer runs on your device.
- Works offline once loaded. Add it to your home screen from the browser’s Share or Install menu.
Play together
Every game can be played by two people on one screen, so you can play with your child: switching “computer” to “a friend” is one tap.
